The Community Scholars Program

The Inland Empire Community Foundation (IECF) awards significant scholarship support to hundreds RCCD students each year, thanks to the generosity of several donors who share a commitment to education. Recipients of Community Foundation Scholarships must be a permanent resident of Riverside or San Bernardino County, continuing at Riverside Community College District with financial need and a 3.0 or higher GPA. Please note: The awarding and disbursement for this scholarship is dependent upon the timing and receipt of funds from the donor. Consequently, recipients will be notified in August if they are awarded this scholarship and the fall disbursement will take place on a disbursement date near the end of the fall semester.

Major: No specific major required
Cumulative GPA required: 3.0
Financial need required: Yes
Student activities, volunteer work required: None required
Other special requirements: Applicants must be new freshman, who are recent high school graduates, must have graduated from a high school within Riverside or San Bernardino counties and are planning to transfer to California Baptist University, La Sierra University or
the University of Redlands.

  1. Which four-year university will you transfer to after completing two years at MVC, NC or RCC? (If you do not plan to transfer to one of the partner universities listed below, you will not be eligible for this scholarship)
  2. Please provide a copy of your High School transcript.
  3. Please provide a copy of your SAT or ACT scores (if available).
  4. Please provide a resume listing any honors and accolades, accomplishments, awards, community involvement, service and volunteer actions, student activities, school and club involvement, sports participation, hobbies, etc. Please include dates and spell out any acronyms (for example: RCC is an acronym for Riverside City College; please use the full name of any organization you include).
