Roy Hord Athletic Endowed Scholarship
Roy was Riverside’s “gentle giant” and an outstanding supporter of the College and the community for more than 30 years. After his successful career as a professional football player, he settled in Riverside. Roy was a founding member of the RCCD Tiger Backers and served as a member of the RCCD Foundation Board from 1998-2001. The Roy Hord Athletic Endowed Scholarship was established by his family and friends to assist deserving students who share his passion for athletics and community service. It is awarded to a continuing or transferring Riverside City College student who is a member of an athletic team with a strong history of community service and a 2.5 GPA or higher.
