Hawkins-Newstead Endowed Scholarship

David Hawkins was a student at RCC from1966 to 1968. While a student, he was fortunate to have Jack Newstead as his business professor. Jack was a mentor to David, and following his time at RCC, David continued to stay in contact with Jack. The Hawkins-Newstead Endowed Scholarship was established by David to honor and recognize the profound impact Jack had on his life. One scholarship is awarded to a continuing Riverside City College business education major who has completed 24 units, and who has a 3.3 GPA or higher. The other is awarded to an incoming freshman.
