Patty Shelton Taylor Endowed Teaching Scholarship

Patty was an elected leader of the Associated Students of Riverside City College and was selected as the first “Woman of the Year”, a recognition that is still awarded annually. This scholarship was established by Gary in appreciation of the scholarship opportunities RCC provided both he and Patty as they continued their education. The Patty Shelton Taylor Endowed Teaching Scholarship is awarded to the RCC Woman of the Year Awardee or a Riverside City College student seeking a career in elementary education who has demonstrated a commitment to service with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
