John M. Coudures Memorial Health Sciences Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Riverside County Supervisor Marion Ashley in memory of John M. Coudures, who was a proud member of a prominent farming family who were pioneers in the development of the Moreno Valley – Perris region. An alumnus of RCC and a graduate of Hastings School of Law, John was also known for recognizing the value of education to a community and was instrumental in the early development of the Moreno Valley College, which is located on the site of his family’s former sheep camp. The John M. Coudures Memorial Health Sciences Osher Scholarship is awarded to a Moreno Valley College student seeking a career in health sciences with a 3.0 or higher GPA who is a resident of Moreno Valley or Perris, who has demonstrated financial need, and who has completed 24 units.
