Al Parker Memorial Scholarship
Al Parker served Riverside City College as a dedicated and popular faculty member, from September 1969 until his retirement in 2014. Al dearly loved life, his family and friends, his colleagues, and his students, and continued to teach online following his retirement. Al passed away peacefully from cancer in his home in Astoria, Oregon in June 2016. Above all, Al cared about student success, and throughout his career, he supported scholarships established through the RCCD Foundation. It was especially fitting that this scholarship was established by his family following his passing to continue his legacy of support for students.
