RCC Association of Latinx Advocating for Student Success (ALASS) Scholarship

The mission of ALASS is to advocate on behalf of the Latinx students and the community we serve. This includes but is not limited to creating opportunities for educational and professional advancement, promoting cultural awareness, inclusion, and fostering leadership within and outside the institution. The goal of ALASS is to develop a support network for Latinx employees and students and coordinate activities college-wide that promote equity for under-served Latinx student populations on campus. They aim to increase awareness about Latinx cultures, help the college address the unique needs of Latinx students, and create mentoring opportunities for Latinx employees and students to increase their retention and ensure successful attainment of their professional/educational goals.
Scholarship requirements:
• Student must be enrolled and in good standing at Riverside City College;
• Student must have a minimum grade point average of 2.0;
• Student must have selected RCC as their home college;
• Open to part-time and full-time students
